Exciting times at here at appa! Our business is expanding and we are looking to recruit CSWs, RSLIs and TSLIs. If you are of the caliber of employee that got us here, we want to hear from!

You will benefit from our commitment to develop and train our Interpreters. Practical experience will be gained through a range of interpreting assignments for medical/health appointments, working with various professionals and the local community. Experienced senior staff will assist you in reflective development and provide third person comment and observations. By leveraging our training department you can access CPD sessions and work towards higher qualifications.

If you are interested in further expanding your skill set, additional roles within the company may be incorporated into this position.

  • Deliver professional services as outlined by the directors and managers.
  • Ensure your skills are developed to match the needs of the business, colleagues, and clients so as to enhance delivery
  • Ensuring your skills set is continually increased by utilising the in-house appraisal and continued professional development procedures.
  • Promote and demonstrate team work within the remit of your responsibilities and when in contact with colleagues from other teams.

  • Whilst in position, maintaining paperwork relevant to the post with due regards and compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

  • Interpreting experience in various domains.
  • Registered or eligible to register with NRCPD.

Continued Professional Development
We are committed to providing the best services at the highest standard and to do that we equip our team through formal and informal training. All employees are given opportunities to develop their skill set or source and build new ones.
Training is supported either fully or part funded, depending on your post and the business core goals.

Training will generally leverage our in-house teaching department but may use external resources and guest speakers too. Your line manager will agree on a training plan with you, which is reviewed annually, and will support you with your development and progress.

Professional Registrations
To encourage growth in our team’s skills sets and the ability to deliver a high standard of work, appa provides a budget for employees to join professional memberships and open various avenues of development.

appa me has clients all over the UK, if as part of your role you are travelling about to visit clients then all or part of your travel will be reimbursed.
