Prime Minister Working Remotely.
The Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, chaired a meeting on the Coronavirus Response. The Prime Minister is currently in hospital after being admitted last night for more tests since being ill for the previous 10 days.
Lord Kerslake, former Civil Servant, said the Prime Minister can work remotely with Dominic Raab but it may be sensible to step back because being Prime Minister on an average day is tough but with the situation as it is at the moment it is even tougher.
The UK system is not the same as the system in America where they have a formal job role of Vice President. Previously Nick Clegg was the Deputy Prime Minister, however since him there hasn’t been a replacement.
