Coronavirus Testing
Taken from BBC News website on 01 April 2020
Last weekend 900 NHS staff were tested for the Coronavirus. The government have said they feel these numbers are low and they would like to see more testing of Health Workers. The government says that increased testing hasn’t been possible due to not being able to source the chemicals required for testing. The MP Robert Jenrick has acknowledged that the numbers being tested are low but that in the coming days testing will be increased.
The medical community and scientists however say the reagents needed for testing is available. The Chemical Industry has also agreed that they have it and merely need the government to request it and they will be able to supply it.
